Gouache painting in expressionist impressionist style with vibrant colours of a village and a landscape by the town of Ronda in Spain.
Ronda is a fabulous little town in Andalusia, with spectacular views and architecture. American artists Ernest Hemingway and Orson Welles spent many summers there, writing about Ronda's beauty and contributing to Ronda's popularity over time.
In May 2005 I spent 10 days in a beautiful finca by Ronda, but I didn't paint much of the town itself at that time. I will have to go back one day. But recently, I found a series of gouache and watercolour mini-paintings done there, from the landscapes around Ronda (I suppose!).
