Artist's Description
Watercolour and ink travel sketch painting in impressionist expressionist style of a stand selling chimney cake in Budapest in Hungary.
Chimney cake is a atypical Hunagrian pastry. And believe me, it is to die for!!!
The Wikipedia says:
it is made from sweet, yeast dough (raised dough), of which a strip is spun and then wrapped around a truncated coneshaped baking spit, and rolled in granulated sugar. It is baked above charcoal cinders while lubricated with melted butter, until its surface gets a golden-brown color. During the baking process the sugar stuck on krtőskalcs becomes caramel and forms shiny, crispy crust on the cake. The surface of cake can then be provided with additional toppings such as ground walnut or cinnamon powder..
Seen and painted during a painting trip to Budapest in October 2014.

A life divided between two passions: mathematics and painting. The first as a supreme form of abstract art ruling her universe... The second as a way of cementing the beauty of that art. Miki, about herself: "... Passionate. Impatient. Unappeasable, uncontrollable! I prefer dancing on a volcano rather than to sit at home! I love the...
